Sainsbury's - Greenwich

Sainsbury's wanted to create a flagship 'low-energy' Superstore and chose the development in Greenwich to lead their environmental campaign.  The store was constructed to be 50% more efficient than a standard supermarket and lower the company's overall CO2 emissions.

Sainsbury’s installed two Proven 2.5 wind turbines and two solar photovoltaic (PV) panels. This was a ground-breaking development, proving that renewable energy devices work well in high energy use locations. 

The Proven Energy turbine has an excellent reputation for reliability, safety and durability, and requires minimal maintenance. The wind turbines and solar panels power the store signage and the car park lighting. The wind turbines alone produce up to 10,000 kWh annually.

BP - Hornchurch

BP, one of the world's leading suppliers of energy, wanted to maximize its renewable energy use, even in forecourt locations.  A decision was taken to install three Proven 6 wind turbines on the forecourt at BP Hornchurch, Essex. The installation of the turbines was supplementary to other environmental solutions implemented.

A typical forecourt site consumes considerable electricity. Through its deployment of renewable energy technology to power this location, BP has been able to minimize its overall impact on the environment and its C02 emissions.  The three Proven Energy turbines will generate up to 54,000 kWh of electricity per annum.

Our full product range has been applied successfully across the corporate and retail sector for a number of years.  High energy users will benefit most from installation of the Proven 6 or Proven 15 wind turbines. 

The Proven 6 is recommended for small to medium spaces while the Proven 15, the largest wind turbine in the range, is recommended for high energy users.
