Andrew McMullan - CEO

Andrew joined Proven Energy in 2006 to develop and deliver the company’s strategy, lead the management team and interface with the company’s board, investors and external constituents. Andrew was a founding investor and COO, (later Deputy CEO), of BoardEx for six years before joining Proven Energy. BoardEx is a business development and sales information service operating in Europe, the US and India. Prior to BoardEx, Andrew worked in CSFB’s Strategy Group.

Andrew also worked on strategic and operational assignments for Booz Allen Hamilton during the 1990s. He has an MA in Chemistry from Oxford University and an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School, New York. During his free time he enjoys skiing, mountain-biking and oil painting – but not at the same time.

Bob Hart - Manufacturing Manager

Bob has worked in a wide variety of manufacturing industries, including automotive, electronics, building products and FMCG. He has previous experience of running manufacturing facilities in the power generation industry. Bob completed the Fellowship in Manufacturing Management at Cranfield University. His role at Proven Energy is to develop the company’s manufacturing base and supply chain to meet rapidly growing global demand. Bob loves cooking, especially grilled sardines alfresco with a glass of rosé, but the one thing he can’t live without is his morning cup of tea.

Elena Sutherland - Head of Marketing

Elena joined Proven Energy in 2007 but has always been concerned about the environment. Since specializing with honors in marketing in 2007, Elena has worked in all disciplines and with a wide range of blue chip businesses. She is an active member of the CIM and holds a professional diploma in Marketing from Cambridge Marketing College. Her role at Proven Energy is to help grow the business globally by implementing a winning marketing strategy and to manage the team tasked to deliver this. Elena is a keen traveler and can often be found walking round the world’s finest cities. In case she wears out her shoes, she always leaves room in her suitcase to buy a few pairs when away.

Jonathan Nowill - Engineering Director

Jonathan has over twenty years' experience in product design and delivery and has introduced several key virtual tools. Prior to joining Proven, Jonathan held a variety of posts within global OEM automotive manufacturers. Jonathan is a Chartered Engineer and holds a Cranfield MSc. His role at Proven Energy is to enhance the future product portfolio, refine the Product Development engineering capability and strategically deploy virtual engineering toolsets. He enjoys horse-riding, silversmithing and making mechanical devices.

Karen Coyle - Human Resource Manager

Karen joined Proven Energy in 2001 at a time when the attitude was ‘all hands to the pump’. She has gained a wealth of experience in HR and believes much of this has come from her hands-on experience of most roles within the company, from managing the office to manufacturing and even the occasional installation. Karen is now responsible for HR duties at a time of rapid growth and is working towards graduate status with CIPD. She is extremely passionate about the environment with one concession – her love of Harley Davidsons!

Mark Taggart - Head of Sales

Mark has a huge amount of experience in growing businesses and engaging with customers through the use of cutting-edge technology. He has gained much wisdom from his broad practical base of business and personal experience. His role within Proven Energy focuses on building revenue growth by executing a winning sales strategy and motivating others to succeed and keep customers happy – facilitating repeat business. Mark makes time to unwind and enjoys a healthy work/life balance through his various sporting activities, family and friends. Living only an hour and a half away from Nice airport, and with extensive experience in hang gliding, paragliding and snow kiting, Mark is truly a frequent flier.

Richard Caldow - Operations Manager

Richard joined Proven in 1989, working with Gordon Proven on electrical and electronic control systems. As the company became more involved in the renewables sector, Richard began to specialize in wind turbines, becoming systems manager and overseeing production, installation and system design. Richard is the longest-serving member of the Proven Energy team and has played a key role in the company’s growth. His role as Operations Manager is to head the technical and customer support team within the company, lead and drive the quality processes throughout the organization and deliver training to resellers/installers. Richard is passionate about sport, especially all levels of soccerl. He also coaches youth soccer.

Scott Fergus - Financial Controller

Scott is a qualified accountant with over ten years' experience in managing finances and rapid change in both multi-site manufacturing and service industries. His experience ranges from turning round family-run businesses to controlling and complying with the latest legislation for blue chip companies. Scott’s role with Proven Energy is to oversee revenue assurance, cost control and treasury management during the high growth period the company is experiencing. Scott has a BA (Acc and Econ) from the University of Strathclyde and is a FCCA. Scott’s first pet was a carnival goldfish which unfortunately died before he could give it a name. Thankfully, his hobbies do not include aquariums and he now prefers golf, hill walking and other outdoor pursuits.
